Our team was ready to play our 1pm game against a North Wake Thunder team (another 8U team)!! Our team played great ball and won 17-7, which moved us in the bracket! Here's how it looked...
DEFENSE...
1st inning:
Great back up by Lukas with Isaac in the outfield to keep the runner to first.
Kaden caught a fly ball at shortstop for out #1.
Jacob did a great job throwing the ball in from right center to keep the runner to a double.
Kaden (shortstop) to Luke H (third) for outs 2 and 3.
2nd inning:
Lawson had an unassisted play at second for an out.
Chris caught a fly ball in centerfield for an out.
3rd inning:
Luke F did a great job throwing the ball in to keep the runner to first.
Chris (third) to Lawson (second) for out #1.
Lawson caught two fly balls at second for outs 2 and 3.
4th inning:
Chris (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #1.
Kaden (short) to Luke H (third) for out #2.
Lukas throws the ball all the way from centerfield to home...Luke F catches the ball and stands there to tag the runner out at home to end the inning. BEAUTIFUL!
5th inning:
Logan caught a fly ball at centerfield for the first out.
Kaden caught a fly ball at shortstop for the second out.
Kaden had an unassisted play at shorstop to end the inning.
OFFENSE:
Kaden: 3-4 with 2 RBI
Lawson: 2-4 with 2 RBI
Lukas: 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI
Luke H: 2-4 with 1 RBI
Chris: 2-4 with a double and 1 RBI
Ian: 2-4 with a RBI
Isaac: 3-3 with a triple and 2 RBI
Jacob: 2-3 with 2 RBI
Ben: 1-1 with 1 RBI
Luke F: 1-2
Logan: 2-2 with 1 RBI
Trey: 1-1 with 1 RBI
With this win...the boys take a 25 minutes break at the RV before heading back to the field for the 3pm game! We just keep on rolling some blue...
